(auto-composition-mode): Don't add a hook to
after-change-functions.  Don't decompose the buffer.
(auto-composition-after-change): Delete it.
(toggle-auto-composition): Make it an alias of
auto-composition-mode.
(auto-compose-region): Delete it.
